$12 Tote Bags and Some Happy Thoughts

Scott's little hobby.

Scott and I love free stuff. I mean, I know that everyone loves free stuff. And I know that you know I love free stuff (ie: the semi-sell-out post below that got me 50 free holiday cards)...

but I don't think you understand how much Scott loves free stuff.

I started getting into clipping coupons about 6 months ago. Scott was so thrilled with the money we were saving, he stole the hobby right from under my feet. But then... he went crazy. Whenever we go grocery shopping, I have to remind him that even though we have a great coupon for Depends Adult Diapers, it doesn't mean we should buy them (this is an exaggeration he would frown upon, but you get what I mean).

Then there is the stuff that comes in the mail. Packets of new flavored gum, perfume and granola bar samples. Bisquick and Jiffy cookbooks. Weird religious pamphlets. A catalog about visiting Nevada. My personal favorite was the plastic tea-pot you put decongestant in and then pour the liquid through the spout into your nose.

I told him "you have to stop this! Where am I supposed to put all this stuff!?"

And then. Today. We got a package from Harley Davidson. It's a gigantic poster of a motorcycle. We don't ride motorcycles, and neither do our families.

What am I supposed to do with a HUGE POSTER OF A HARLEY WHEN WE'RE IN THE MIDDLE OF A MOVE?

On the bright side: I really do enjoy the perfume samples. And last time we went to Wal-Mart we came home with free floss and a $0 tub of flushable wipes. He generally saves us money-and I appreciate it.

But seriously. A Harley Davidson poster. What the random?
