Typical Blog Post About Parents Coming to Visit.

Warning: this is one of THOSE posts. One of those where all I talk about is when parents came to visit. I'm gonna be honest, these kind of posts drive me crazy for some reason. But we had a lot of fun this last weekend, and it was a really special time for us with Scott's parents :)

First, we went to the zoo where we introduced Mimi and Papa to our personal herd of giraffe BFFs.

We'll start off the boring, typical blog post with a stroller shot.

She was in heaven. And I kind of think he was too  :)

My mother in law, Lori got the biggest kick out of this giraffe and it was cracking me up.

This picture kind of shows to the essence of Ruthie. Isn't she a beautiful soul?!

This is the evolution of Georgia (and Greg) being licked by a giraffe. She won't stop talking about it.

It wouldn't be a grandparent weekend without Georgia getting a bit spoiled. She was pretty thrilled to ride the carousel :)

After the zoo, we climbed to the top of the Will Rogers Shrine of the Sun. The view was pretty amazing. I didn't get a shot of it, but here's a stock photo:

When we came down from the top of the tower (elevation at the top is 8000 ft) we decided to take a few pictures. Look how adorable my in-laws are:

Later that night we all crashed and watched a movie which, in my opinion, is one of the best ways to spend at least one night on vacation. The next day, Lori helped the Easter bunny hide some eggs in the backyard.

Later, Lori and I went to yoga class and then we saw the Manitou Cliff Dwellings. That night, Scott and I went out for a bite to eat at Couture Bistro downtown (a french cheese plate and saffron mussels = best) while Georgia was a little too happy to be left with Mimi and Papa.

Easter Sunday was laid back. We were late for church and the girls ripped their dresses off as soon as they could so we didn't get any cute pictures haha! I also forgot to take pictures of their Easter baskets.  Oh well. And listen, I'm gonna brag quick. I made a really great Easter dinner. Lamb, lemon mint couscous, strawberry asparagus salad, potatoes, rolls and lemonade. Strawberry shortcake for dessert.  I took really great pictures and then they disappeared from my memory card. I'm a little more upset about it then I should be so...

We also had a special Easter egg hunt that told the story of Christ's last week and resurrection. It was a success even though Georgia was all over the place! We'll just do it every year. It was all really special with Lori and Greg here. We were sad to see them go.

In the meantime, Georgia is SURE that everyone she knows is going to come visit her. So, you know, you're all invited ;)
